Friend-Raiser for Alpine Kids Theatre Project
Author Ina Albert Celebrating publication of
“Granny Greeny Says Listen Louder” with friend-raising party
to benefit Alpine Kids Theatre Project
The board of Alpine Theatre Project invites old and new friends of ATP and Alpine Kids Theatre Project (AKTP) to celebrate the publication of Ina Albert’s newest book, “Granny Greeny Says Listen Louder,” (Mountain Greenery Press, ISBN: 978-0-9904703-0-4). Enjoy soup, snacks, sips and songs by Betsi Morrison and Luke Walrath. The celebration takes place on Saturday, November 8 at 6 pm at Good Medicine Lodge, 537 Wisconsin Ave. in Whitefish. All proceeds from book sales and playing the Listen Louder Game will be donated to AKTP.
Ina, a founding member of the board of Alpine Theatre Project, says her newest venture, an intergenerational picture book, is perfect for audiences who support the artistic self-expression made possible by ATKP.
“Granny Greeny invites us all to stop tweeting and texting and meet face-to-face and heart-to-heart,” says Albert. “We dedicate our work to the power of human connection that makes us visible to one another; to the children who need to be heard; and to the elders who listen to them with hearts filled with love.”
Albert says listening is fast becoming a lost skill and that being overwhelmed by technology is the greatest enemy of interpersonal communication. The book includes a Listen Louder game that encourages readers to practice listening to each other.
